The Open Ocean Science Centre (OOSC) is a private research centre that is located in Dahab, Egypt. We closely collaborate with the Suez Canal University in Ismailia, the i Dive Dahab dive centre and the local community of the South Sinai region.The centre offers a range of facilities and services for individual researchers, universities and school groups and people interested in the marine environment. Our facilities include a modern indoor and outdoor wet lab with fresh and seawater supply, a spacious classroom with various technical tools and several outdoor sitting areas for working and relaxing with wireless internet and power supply.The activities of the OOSC can be summarized in three missions:

The Dahab Charta is a comprehensive initiative to increase environmental awareness among locals and visitors in order to protect Dahab’s magnificent coral reefs and to establish a sustainable and enduring economy for future generations. We are actively engaged in various environmental projects to protect what we love, the Red Sea!
