Plastic in birds reveals ocean’s garbage problem

Last year we posted about a ghost net removal by the ‘MIDWAY media project’ camera team who managed the job while working on their film about Midway Atoll.

The MIDWAY media project is a powerful visual journey into the heart of an astonishingly symbolic environmental tragedy. On one of the remotest islands on our planet, tens of thousands of baby albatrosses lie dead on the ground, their bodies filled with plastic from the Pacific Garbage Patch.

This trailer video by Chris Jordan shows a well picture of the huge problem of plastic in our oceans. Educating the world about this issue is so important and the dumping of trash into our oceans really has to stop now.. if not too late.
